Welcome to the jungle!

Plastic Jungle is an international blog founded by James Cann (UK), Markus Lista (Spain) and Beñat Lorenz (Spain) to promote, teach and learn our passion, Scale modelling.
Here we will be showing progress on our individual/group projects, Commission builds, tutorials and tips and tricks.

Why Plastic Jungle?

Well just like a jungle, our flora here is really diverse; from Civillian models to Figurines, Dioramas, Aircraft and Armor. you name it we build it.

James CannJames Cann started building when he was around 8 years old on a caravan holiday in Cornwall. Since then he took a few years out to form a band and returned to modelling professionally in 2015. He is an accomplished modeller enjoying many subjects with a preference for aircraft and figures and he has been known to build a sneaky tank or two. James currently contributes to the Model Aircraft Monthly and Military Modeller International magazines and in his free time likes to read and chug out meaty riffs on the guitar.

Markus ListaMarkus Lista started building at age 25 or so when his current wife gave him away a toy Kubelwagen toy and he thought “heyyy why dont I buy a kit and build it myself?” so he did, an old version of the Tamiya Panther Ausf D.

1 year later when he lost his mojo until the year 2016 when started building seriously as hobby with some commision builds, with a focus on scratchbuilding and dioramas.

His concept is building for almost nothing using recycled materials and all kinds of trash, first he has an idea, then he thinks how to solve it.

Beñat LorenzI started bulding when i was 13 or 14 years old with a P-51d Mustang from Revell in 1/72nd scale. From there, i’ve never done anything out from the braille scale. Now, with almost 18 years and started the university, my time is very little but always I try to take a few hours almost every weekend. OOB models are impossible for me.

Miguel “Mister” Álvarez González Spain-icon

Miguel “Mister” Álvarez GonzálezI’m an northern Spanish teenager in love with history. My time in modelling has been quiet shorts (I made my first year a few weeks ago since my very first model). I had the good luck of finding my first modeling group very soon. In between them are some of the greatest modellers from Spain. Thanks to this people I managed to develop my modeling with an amazing feedback and recommendations holding. I look up to be a good modeller like them, and I hope to help many people through this blog to do the same.
